I had been working at a movie theater for a year, and one of my coworkers talked about an online 5e game they had been wanting to play. One of their friends wanted to run a homebrew "but the rules shouldn't change too much" so I decided to join. Since a healer was needed in the party and I didn't want to play life cleric, I decided on land druid. Once I chose my class, the DM told us that instead of normal spell slots, add up all the level totals we have (at 3rd level, 41st levels and 2 2and levels got 8 total levels) and we can cast any spells with those levels (a 3rd level full caster can cast one 8th level spell a day). Crazy powerful. Also the dmpc was a gunslinger with laser pistols and one shot a room of 8 orcs. At one point I crit failed on a primal savagery attack, so my hand got melted off. I conjured a unicorn to restore my hand.

Clear lines of good and evil are drawn and the inevitability of justice, in the end, overshadows the film. Such a sweet and sad ending, foreshadowed eloquently with the fight in the dojo between the master with his old ways and the upstart with his tricks. When the movie ended, I was smiling at the poetic ending and thought back to how many movies ended this way from that era. Kiwi Flyer is a great little kids movie centered around the iconic Collingwood St Trolley Derby that has been running off and on since the early 60's. The movie is a lot of good clean fun and follows 12 year old Ben's attempts to win the Derby... he has to contend with a devious Aussie used car dealer who is determined that his family will win at any cost.... so don't expect this movie to be a big seller over the ditch in Australia but Kiwi's will love it ( we love anything that beats Australia! ) It is a fun filled, fast moving, clean movie ( except for a few pooh jokes that the kids find very funny) that kids will love. It is fun and a return to old values that we see very little of these days and there are some good performances by the international and local cast. Nelson shows up as one of the major players... filmed in great sunny weather the city and it's surrounds really shine... If you are planning a trip here see the movie or if not you will be after you see it. This is a must see for your kids ( 6 to 12) these holidays and the adults will enjoy this as well... it is a fun, easy watch enjoy it as it is all about life and kids finding their way... Fun fun fun.... 4 stars....
